Italian giants Juventus look set to launch a fresh assault for Borussia Dortmund playmaker IIkay Gundogan in the New Year.

The Old Lady had failed with a summer bid for the German international, but they are expected to launch a renewed offer.

According to German sports daily Bild, the Turin giants are keen on signing a new central midfielder next month, and consider Gundogan as one of their prime targets.

It is added that Gundogan could force through a move to the Serie A side, given he is in the final 18 months of his contract at BVB.

Barcelona and Manchester United have also been credited with interest for the talented midfielder.
