IT’S all going down in Manchester as both clubs look ahead to the January transfer window.

The Red Devils could lose one of their star forwards to a European rival, but that’s the least of their worries — they may be forced to hand over their superstar goalkeeper for FREE!

Meanwhile, the sky blue half of Manchester is looking to bolster their world-class defence by bringing in one of football’s hottest properties.

UNITED STAR COULD LEAVE CLUB FOR FREE!
Jose Mourinho fears he could lose keeper David De Gea on a FREE to Juventus.

The Italian giants have become masters of snapping up top talent for nothing and they got a good look at De Gea in their 1-0 Champions League win against Manchester United on Tuesday night.

It is understood the Spaniard is aware the Turin giants want him when his deal expires next summer although United do have the option of extending it a further year.

But an Old Trafford source admitted: “De Gea played against his future club on Tuesday.

“Juve are experts in intelligent deals. If United don’t sell him in the summer, Juventus will wait until the end of his contract.”

The United shot stopper was rumoured to be the subject of a $161m bid from Real Madrid in September although the deal eventually fell through.

Now Juve coach Max Allegri is willing to play a waiting game to nab one of the world’s best keepers for nothing.

INTER STAR IN JOSE’S RADAR
Manchester United have received a huge boost in the chase for Milan Skriniar after reports he is yet to agree a new deal at Inter Milan.

The Slovakian defender has become one of the continent’s top defenders since moving to the San Siro from Sampdoria in 2017.

Both United and neighbours Man City are keen to add the 23-year-old to their squads.

And hopes of landing the centre-back were enhanced after Italian outlet Calcio Mercato claimed the star has failed to agree an extension with Inter.

Talks stopped between the Serie A giants and Skriniar and no progress is believed to have been made since.

He remains under contract until 2022 but Inter are desperate to tie down the ace to a longer deal in order to fight off interested parties.

CITY EYE JUVE SENSATION
Manchester City are considering a move for Juventus superstar Alex Sandro.

The Brazil left-back, 27, has spent the last three seasons with the Old Lady, winning three Serie A and Coppa Italia doubles.

Sandro impressed on Tuesday night to help Juve grind out a 1-0 Champions League win at Manchester United.

The pacy defender thwarted Marcus Rashford as the Italians delivered a defensive masterclass.

And City scouts are understood to have made the short trek to Old Trafford to check out ex-Porto star Sandro.

Chelsea have previously shown interest in the 12-cap international.

ALEXIS READY TO QUIT UNITED
Alexis Sanchez is ready to part ways with Manchester United and he’s keen on a move to Paris Saint Germain, according to the Mirror.

The Chilean’s frustration is continuing to grow at Old Trafford and the club are finally willing to cut their losses and strike a deal.

The French champions are one of few clubs who could match the forward’s current contract, which is worth just over A$900,000-a-week.

A move to Paris could be appealing for the unsettled star — regular first team football, playing alongside the likes of Neymar and Kylian Mbappe and a huge pay cheque, of course.

CITY STAR SET TO SIGN BUMPER NEW DEAL
Ilkay Gundogan is ready to commit his long-term future to Manchester City and sign a bumper new deal.

The German midfielder has been one of Pep Guardiola’s star performers in recent years, helping them to the title.

He is wanted by a number of top clubs across Europe, including Ajax as part of a possible move for Frenkie De Jong.

But Gundogan wants to stay at the Etihad, and expects to be offered fresh terms after the busy Christmas period is over.

The 28-year-old earns around $163,000-a-week with two-years left, and it is understood he will be handed a pay increase.

A City source said: “Ilkay expects to be given and will sign a new contract. There is interest elsewhere but he is happy here.”

CITY TARGET JAPANESE STARLET
Manchester City are eyeing a January swoop for promising Japanese midfielder Ritsu Doan, according to reports.

The Groningen playmaker, 20, has been on the Citizens’ radar for some time after starring in the Eredivisie last season.

And The Mirror claims City are considering a £5million winter deal, although the Dutch club are not ready to sell.

Pep Guardiola would face competition for Doan, who moved to Europe from Gamba Osaka in his homeland in 2017.

The attacking midfielder has already made an impression in Holland - playing 34 times and scoring 10 in the process.

Doan’s form earned him a first senior international call-up this year and he has one goal in three caps.
