HELLENIC can all but wrap up the FFNT women’s premier league title tonight with a win over its nearest challenger Casuarina.

The Blues sit equal first on 28 points with the Rowdies, but have six matches to play compared to Casuarina’s four.

“It will set us up for the rest of the season or keep the league pretty close,” Hellenic coach Ross Billias told the NT News.

“If we win, I would say it would pretty much put (the title) to bed, but you never know until the last minute.”

Last time the two teams met in Round 11, Hellenic prevailed 3-0 following a 0-0 result in Round 6.

Billias said the Rowdies would truly challenge his team, as they did in the early-season stalemate.

“It will be a big test for us (tonight),” Billias said.

“Overall we have a few injured and a few away on holidays, but I will back the players we have to get the job done.

“We have got a solid backline and the girls upfront tend to get one or two in the net, so if we can keep them scoreless, we are always a chance.”

In the other women’s fixture this weekend, Litchfield face the Mindil Aces.

Meanwhile, in the men’s premier league, Palmerston play a must-win encounter against Olympic.

The Rovers sit 11 points behind fourth-placed Uni Azzurri, who will be confident of claiming three points against Mindil.

In tonight’s clash, ladder-leaders Hellenic take on Port Darwin.
