Harambee Stars hero, Patrick Matasi scooped two individual awards in the just concluded Cecafa Senior Challenge Cup after steering Kenya to the top podium finish.

Matasi saved three penalties to help Kenya beat Zanzibar 3-2 for her first title since 2013.

The Posta Rangers custodian scooped the Most Valuable Player trophy beside the Golden Glove.
Matasi conceded only two goals in the regulation time in six matches for Kenya.

Matasi earned the confidence of Coach Paul Put after he steered Kenya to a 2-0 win against Rwanda in the opening group ‘A’ match.
Kenya would then play a 0-0 draw with Libya and Zanzibar before humbling Tanzania 1-0 to sail to the semis.

At the knockout stage, the former AFC Leopards goalkeeper kept another clean sheet in a 1-0 win against Burundi to book a repeat of group ‘A’ match with Zanzibar.
