Fremantle winger Bradley Hill was the first man picked in today’s AFLX draft, joining Eddie Betts’ Team Deadly.

Team captains Betts, Nat Fyfe (Flyers), Patrick Dangerfield (Bolts) and Jack Riewoldt (Rampage) came together in Melbourne to select their sides for the February 22 tournament.

“He’s got one of the best GPS numbers in the game, and he can run up and back,” Betts said.

Hill’s Dockers captain Fyfe backed up his merits.

“Brad’s built for this sort of game - up and back, elite speed,” Fyfe added.

West Coast midfielder Andrew Gaff is also set to play for the first time since copping an eight-week ban for striking Andrew Brayshaw, selected by Dangerfield’s Team Bolts.

Each captain selected 12 players to round out their squad, with vice-captains announced last week.

Gaff was one of three Eagles selected, with Lewis Jetta and Willie Rioli playing for Team Deadly.

Joel Hamling (Deadly) joined Fyfe and Hill as the Dockers named to play in the tournament.
