Running backs dominated the afternoon slate of football games and were crucial in helping their teams clinch victories. Michigan rallied in the second quarter with the help of De'Veon Smith, while Saquon Barkely and Benny Snell Jr. crushed it for Penn State and Kentucky, respectively.

Amongst the running backs was an outstanding quarterback performance on Oklahoma State's front and Louisville surviving a scare due to the tenacity of their quarterback.

Smith scored both his touchdowns in the second quarter, giving the Wolverines a much-needed push and putting them up by 14 points. With Wilton Speight having a rough game, Smith's two touchdowns were critical in defeating Big Ten rival Michigan State, 32-23.
Mason Rudolph, Oklahoma State, QB

Rudolph had one of his best games to date, throwing for 273 yards, two passing touchdowns, one rushing touchdown and no interceptions to upset No. 10 West Virginia 37-20. Rudolph now has a 10-4 record over the past 14 games with 29 touchdowns and an average of 315 passing yards per game.

Saquon Barkley, Penn State, RB

Have yourself a game, Saquon Barkley. The running back rushed for two touchdowns and 207 yards in the Nittany Lions' 62-24 beatdown of Purdue. He is tied for second in the FBS with two 200-plus yard rushing games this season.

Benny Snell Jr., Kentucky, RB

Snell was instrumental in Kentucky's 35-21 win over SEC rival Missouri. He rushed for a whopping 192 yards and two touchdowns, setting a school freshman record for rushing touchdowns in a season. Randall Cobb, who is now with the Green Bay Packers, had seven. Snell now has eight.

Lamar Jackson, Louisville, QB

It wasn't Louisville's best performance, but Lamar Jackson still proved why he is worthy of being the Heisman frontrunner. The Cardinals quarterback rallied his team with less than two minutes left and marched down the field while eating up the clock. He finally threw the winning touchdown with 13 seconds left, securing the 32-25 win. He finished the day with 361 passing yards, four touchdowns, 90 rushing yards and an interception.
