College Football Playoff championship: Alabama opens as four-point favorite over Georgia

The Crimson Tide is rolling into its third straight national title game after a dominating 24-6 win over No. 1 Clemson.

And for the third straight season, Alabama is the favorite to win it all, as it opened early Tuesday morning as a four-point favorite against No. 3 Georgia, according to the Westgate SuperBook in Las Vegas.

Alabama, the favorite to win the national title before the season at 5-2 odds, is accustomed to this position, as it’s been favored in 110 of its last 111 games. The last time the Tide went into a game as an underdog was at Georgia on Oct. 3, 2015, which is also the last time these two SEC teams played one another (a 38-10 Alabama win).

Georgia, which opened the season with 20-1 odds to win it all, advanced to next Monday’s title game with a 54-48 double-overtime win over No. 2 Oklahoma in the Rose Bowl
