Bangladesh Cricket Board chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury confirmed on Monday (October 21) that the board has received the green signal from the government for the upcoming women's tour of Pakistan. The BCB announced a 15- member Women's squad for the Pakistan tour after they received clearance from security officials who had visited Pakistan earlier.

"We have received green signal from the government for our women's and Under-16 tour," Chowdhury told Cricbuzz. "So we decided the tour will go as per schedule," he said.

Meanwhile, the board is yet to take a decision on the men's tour of Pakistan which is scheduled for February next year and will include two Tests and three T20Is. According to Chowdhury, the BCB will take a decision regarding the men's tour once they receive the full reports from security officials. He added that they have decided to send the women and the Under-16 team as the threat level is minimal compared to the men's team travelling.

"The security threat varies at different levels. As as now, we have decided to send the women and age-level team," said Chowdhury. "We can take a decision about our national team's visit to Pakistan once we get the full report from the security agencies."
