ANTHONY Freedman’s three-year-old colt Declarationofheart firmed from $101 to $26 for the Caulfield Guineas with TAB Fixed Odds after he stormed home to win the Benchmark 64 (1300m) at Sandown Hillside on Wednesday.

“He’s a nice colt and will go down the Caulfield Guineas path,” Sam Freedman said after the win.

Freedman said Decalarationofheart’s owners had been patient as Wednesday was only his second start following his win at Geelong in January.

His jockey Mark Zahra said Declarationofheart’s finish was explosive and he should head towards the Caulfield Guineas.

DOUBLE DELIGHT
BOTH trainer Jade Da Rose and apprentice jockey Lucinda Doodt will fondly remember Parwan’s Prince’s win at Sandown Hillside as the gelding provided both with their first city winners.

Da Rose, still holds her jockeys’ licence but decided to use Doodt’s three kilogram claim.

Parwan Prince is the only horse Da Rose is training and she said he’s such a tough horse as he’s got lots of problems.

CUP DREAM ALIVE FOR WILLIAMS
CRAIG Williams has secured the coveted ride on Caulfield Cup favourite Kings Will Dream, who resumes in this Saturday’s P.B. Lawrence Stakes.

Williams won’t ride him on Saturday as he will ride Hartnell in the Group 2 race. He will join forces with Kings Will Dream in the Turnbull Stakes.

The Darren Weir-trained import has won his five Australian starts with his last start win in the Mornington Cup securing him a start in the Caulfield Cup.

FABULASS FILLY
KRIS Lees will send Miss Fabulass on a Group 1 path after the well-bred filly won in classy fashion at Canterbury Park on Wednesday.

She may have only beaten two rivals but Godolphin thought a lot of Ranier who ran 1¼ lengths behind her. Kerrin McEvoy rode her in a lead-up trial at Gosford on August 6 and knew then she had returned in impressive fashion.

Miss Fabulass is by Frankel out of Samantha Miss — both multiple Group 1 winners — and Lees will see if she can emulate her mum by winning the Group 1 Flight Stakes on September 29 at Royal Randwick.

Miss Fabulass firmed from $17 into $13 with TAB for the Thousand Guineas at Caulfield.
