‘TEAM SPIRIT’ might’ve been the catch-cry of Adam Simpson’s flag-winning side, but there was one passenger in particularly that received special attention on West Coast’s flight home from Melbourne.

The Eagles gave their premiership cup its own seat, 13A, alongside Liberal MP and West Coast tragic Julie Bishop, who joined the team on their return to WA.

‘Flying home to Perth with our mighty West Coast Eagles premiership team - with The Cup (has its own seat 13A,’ Bishop wrote on in a post on Instagram (@JulieBishopMP).

The players can been seen crammed into the cabin, wearing their premiership medallions with beaming grins.

Jeremy McGovern’s cross-eyed effort might’ve otherwise garnered attention, but there’s now doubting what the star attraction was.

It’s also worth noting how smudged the premiership cup is, after one night in the hands of an excitable football side.

Well played, West Coast. Well played.
