Stanford's Bryce Love is having a season for the ages, and it only got better with his performance in the Alamo Bowl Thursday.

The junior running back ran for 145 yards and two touchdowns in the Cardinal's 39-37 loss to TCU, but he did so much more. Love eclipsed the 2,000-yard mark in the first half and broke Christian McCaffrey's single-season rushing record (2,019) for Stanford as well.

In addition, by eclipsing the century mark yet again, he tied Florida Atlantic's Devin Singletary for the most 100-yard rushing games on the year with 12. Also, with his 69-yard touchdown run in the third quarter, Love tallied his 12th touchdown of 50 yards or more on the season. Only Arizona's team had more.

Love finished the season averaging 8.4 yards per carry which broke Houston's Chuck Weatherspoon's single-season yards-per-carry average (8.22) which had stood since 1990.

The 20-year-old is viewed as one of the top running backs in the draft and is a likely first-round pick, but he does have some injury concerns with the ankle injury which forced him to miss a game earlier this season and a hand injury which forced him to miss the end of Thursday's game.

Here are some of Wednesday's top NFL Draft-eligible players

Mason Rudolph, QB, Oklahoma State — Rudolph became the Cowboys' single-season record holder for passing yards in OSU's 30-21 win over Virginia Tech in the Camping World Bowl. He finished with 351 yards on 21-of-32 passing with two touchdowns. He also set up wide receiver James Washington as OSU's all-time leading receiver.

Kurt Benkert, QB, Virginia — Benkert is viewed as one of the best senior QB prospects in the draft this season, but he did not perform well in Virginia's 49-7 loss to Navy in the Military Bowl. The 6-4, 215-pound QB went 16 of 36 for 145 yards with no touchdowns and an interception.

Felton Davis III, WR, Michigan State — Washington State has a better defense than a lot of people realize, but they were unable to deal with Davis. The 6-4, 195-pound wide receiver caught four passes for 118 yards and a touchdown in the Spartans' 42-17 win over the Cougars in the Holiday Bowl.

Ricky Walker, DT, Virginia Tech —
Tremaine Edmunds gets all the pub for the Hokies, but Walker was the one in the backfield all game long for Virginia Tech. Walker finished with four tackles, two of which went for loss and one sack. At 6-2, 282-pounds Walker is undersized for a defensive tackle, but he is only a junior and could go back to school to both put on weight and use another year for development
