After launching its flagship smartphones the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge earlier this year, Samsung is now preparing to unveil the Galaxy C series as well. A post on TechUpdate3 suggests that the unveiling date is May 26 during an event held in China, as invitations were already sent.



On May 26, Samsung will debut the Galaxy C series with two smartphones expected to be unveiled, the Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7. Specs and images regarding the two devices have been leaking since April.
Samsung Galaxy C5 is expected to come with a 5.2-inch display and incorporate Octa-Core Snapdragon 617 processor with Adreno 405 GPU graphics. It’s also set to come with 4GB of RAM and run Android Marshmallow 6.0.1 out of the box. Rear camera could reach 16MP and 8MP in the front selfie snapper.
Consequently, the Galaxy C7 could have a smaller display of 5.5 inches and 1920×1080 pixel resolution. It may come with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Inside, it may have a 64-bit 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and Adreno 506 graphics processing unit.
Camera capabilities are expected to be the same as for the Galaxy C5 and the device will also run the latest version of Android Marshmallow.


Rumors on pricing have started to surface

Battery capacity could reach 2600mAh for the Galaxy C5 while the Galaxy C7 model could have a more powerful battery of 3000mAh. Fingerprint sensor should be incorporated on both devices and they’re expected to come with 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v 4.1, GPS.

Leaked images of the Galaxy C5 showed a slim metallic body, resembling the design of phones in Galaxy A series. Pictures also suggested that the Galaxy C5 will come with a dual tone LED flash on the back.
Some rumors on pricing suggest that the Galaxy C5 will cost $245 (€217) while the Galaxy C7 will have a slightly higher price of $276 (€245). Considering that the Galaxy C series will be unveiled on May 26, more information is expected to surface soon.
