A new update is now rolling out to OnePlus 5 units across the globe. Sadly, the new OxygenOS 4.5.15 doesn't come with Oreo on board, nor does it bring the Widevine Level 1 Certification required to stream HD content on Netflix and other streaming services. What it does bring; however, is a bunch of useful tweaks, bug fixes, and security improvements.

Here are some of the highlighted changes in this build:
  • GPS improvements
  • Fixed issue of not able to set customized alarm ringtone
  • Fixed issue of sharing emoji from Bitmoji
  • Updated Android security patch to October
  • General bug fixes

The OTA rollout of the update is going to happen gradually, so it might need some time to reach all compatible devices. As always, make sure that your phone is sufficiently charged and connected to a Wi-Fi network before proceeding with the patch.
