The Nokia 5 was launched back in July this year, but has only been available in 2GB RAM option all this while. Well, that changes now, as a new 3GB RAM variant of the device is being launched.

The new variant - in Matte Black and Tempered Blue colors - will be available in India, where retailer Flipkart will start offering it tonight.

As for pricing, the handset carries a launch price tag of INR 13,499 (around $210), which is already down INR 1,800 (around $27) from the usual pricing. Of course, there are some other launch-time discounts as well, including no cost EMIs and additional discounts on certain credit cards.

It's worth mentioning that while the model is an upgrade in terms of RAM, storage remains the same at 16GB. HMD says the Flipkart-exclusivity ends November 14, when some other retail outlets will also start selling the new variant.
