If you enjoy developing custom ROMs and recoveries for Android phones, you'll be happy to hear that the kernel source code for the Motorola Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus have been released. The third phone in the G6 series, the Moto G6 Play, had its kernel source code revealed back in April. The Moto G6 has the codename of "Ali," while the G6 Plus has a codename of "Evert."

The Moto G6 is available from Verizon for $240, or 24 monthly payments of $10. Boost Mobile is where you'll find the Moto G6 Play, priced at $129.99. The more highly-spec'd Moto G6 Plus is not getting a U.S. release, which many have called disappointing. Motorola has not explained its reasoning for this move.

The Android 8.0 Oreo kernel source code for both the Moto G6 and Moto G6 Plus can be found on GitHub. To view them, simply click on the appropriate sourcelink below.
