Well, folks, it has happened. After several months of testing, Samsung is finally beginning to roll out an official version of its Android Oreo-based Samsung Experience 9.0 overlay. As expected, the first Samsung handsets receiving the update are the Galaxy S8 and S8+. What's surprising, though, is that the software has also recently landed on a Galaxy S7 edge unit in Vietnam.

The above screenshot is in Vietnamese, but we can clearly see that the 1.4GB update is intended for the Galaxy S7 edge since it carries a model number of G935F. Screenshots aren't too difficult to manipulate, so it's great that a video of the device running Samsung Experience 9.0 was also uploaded to YouTube:

The video description suggests that this is a beta version of the S7 Oreo update, but it's still an interesting find since there's no official public beta program announced by Samsung at this point (only news that it's in development). The clip shows off features that are new to the S7, such as Bixby Home, new Edge Lighting effects, more clock widgets, and updates to Samsung's various apps.

Other functionalities like Bixby Vision are not present, but it's possible that Samsung could add these in a future beta update. In any case, we'll probably get a better idea of the things to come when Samsung officially announced its plans for the Galaxy S7 lineup.
