LG’s flagship smartphone, the G5 is expected to hit shelves on March 31 in some countries, while others will get it slightly later. The same goes for countries in Latin America, but the difference is LG will launch a different version of the G5 in this region.

We’re not sure about the price, but we do know that the LG G5 version available in Latin America will be slightly downgraded. According to a new report coming from German website Winfuture.de, LG G5 is now available for pre-order in Panama, but with different specs.
Unlike the standard LG G5, which packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, the downgraded model includes a 2GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 processor inside.
Less amount of RAM and different chipset Furthermore, the smartphone is available in two variants, which are likely to be priced differently: 3GB RAM and 32GB storage, or 4GB RAM and 32GB internal memory.
The good news is these are the only changes between this version of LG G5 and the standard model announced last month at Mobile World Congress.
This means that customers in Latin America will get a powerful handset that runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system right out of the box.
Also, this LG G5 sports a 5.3-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports Quad HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution and Always-on feature.
The flagship also boasts a 16-megapixel photo snapper on the back, which features laser autofocus, LED flash and 4K video recording, as well as a secondary 8-megapixel camera in the front for selfies and video calls.
LG G5 is powered by a 2,800 mAh battery and features Quick Charge 3.0 technology. There’s also a fingerprint sensor on the back side, and the battery is removable.
Some of the accessories compatible with LG G5 will be available for purchase in Latin America as well, but we don’t have any information about prices at the moment.
