As expected, Asus has just announced its next camera-centric smartphone, the Zenfone Selfie. Unlike the Zenfone Zoom that focuses on the rear-facing camera, the Zenfone Selfie comes with two impressive cameras (front and back).

Word about the imminent unveiling of the Zenfone Selfie emerged over the weekend, along with some of its specs. Today, Asus announced the upcoming availability of the smartphone during its Computex 2015 conference.

Unfortunately, aside from most of its specs, we don't know much else about the Zenfone Selfie like when it will go on sale and where it will be available first. Still, we expect Asus to announce more details on the matter very soon, so stay tuned for more on this one.

For those out of the loop, here is a quick rundown of Asus Zenfone Selfie specs. First of all, if you're already familiar with the Zenfone 2, then you should know that the Zenfone Selfie has similar specs with a few differences like front-facing camera and processor.
Laser autofocus, Snapdragon 615 and Gorilla Glass 4

That being said, the Zenfone Selfies packs a 13-megapixel camera in the back, which features dual-tone flash, laser autofocus, f/2.0 aperture and full HD (1080p) video recording.

Furthermore, the 13-megapixel camera in the front has dual-tone flash as well, f/2.2 aperture, 88-degree field of view and full HD (1080p) video recording.

On the inside, Asus has decided to go with Qualcomm's octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor instead of Intel's quad-core CPU that powers the Zenfone 2.

The Zenfone Selfie sports a 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features Corning Gorilla Glass 4 coating (instead of Gorilla 3 that protects the Zenfone 2).

This hasn't been confirmed yet, but Asus Zenfone Selfie should pack either 2GB or 4GB RAM, depending on the model. The same goes for the amount of storage, which might be either 16GB, 32GB or 64GB, depending on version
