ASUS is another company that is following the latest trend with 18:9 displays. The Taiwanese company has now announced its first smartphone with a display that has 18:9 aspect ratio and very thin bezels on top and bottom. Unlike others, ASUS' first such smartphone isn't a flagship, but rather a mid-range handset.

The handset is called Pegasus 4S and features a 5.7-inch display with HD+ resolution, MediaTek MT6750T processor, 3 GB RAM and 32 GB internal memory, or 4 GB RAM and 64 GB storage and a 4,030 mAh battery. There is a dual rear camera setup comprising of 16-megapixel and 8-megapixel cameras, with a fingerprint scanner below.

It will go on sale starting November 9 in either Gold or Star Black, but its pricing has yet to be revealed.
