You already know my answer: )
You buying a new toy for yourself?
Nice thread! Actually it should be Android vs iOS vs Windows.. but yes, since Apple is only making 1 type of phone at the moment we can very well say iOS and iPhone are the same thing... :top:
So..
I will vote for iPhone, but don't get me wrong, I'm not a fan-boy, I have tried the Galaxy S2 before (friend of mine has it so I often see it and use it) with an Android operating system... and there are some things that are way better on my iPhone:
1- User friendliness: can't explain it, it's all so well organized, no confusion, if I want to do something I do it in a matter of seconds with no lagging, no waiting, no buffering, no searching.
2- Stability: It's 3 years now ( iphone 4 and iphone 4s) and NOT ONCE my iPhone crashed. Need I say more? I'm sure I'm not the only case.
3- App store: You find everything there and what you find there WORKS 100% on your iPhone. Perfect fit on screen, perfect usability, perfect compatibility. Infinite number of apps available and quality and security is always at it's best.
You don't need to check apps, Apple does that for you. You just download and install them.
4- Materials: I had time to unmount a friends iPhone and my friends, not only the exterior which is gorilla glass, but also the interior is just an engineering masterpiece, from the antenna located around the phone, to the location of all silicon pieces. You can see it's high quality.
5- Speed: Last but not least, in terms of speed I never suffer any kind of lagging, especially swiping through pages on my homescreen on the iPhone, I don't know why but on my friends Galaxy S2 I have the impression that the swiping is taking that 1 microsecond to much to get started that really feels annoying coming from an iPhone experience. Same goes for opening folders. I seem to see a small lag if compared to my iPhone. Sorry if I can't explain better this one. It's just a "feeling".
That's all folks.
i Would go with android have every kinda apps even have the pic grid that iPhone nor windows doesn;t have also price is perfect so my choice is Android
I was buying top mobiles twice per year, since i realized that the only thing i was doing, were some phone calls !
Not applications, not surfing, not taking photos or anything else...
The last years i am stuck with the same mobile, but i have started thinking about a new one...
btw, i know that you are iAddicted and many times i wanted to break your shitty phone because of our slow chats :p
But i still respect your opinion and i would like to tell me why do you think it's the best !
Haha: )
That was a shitty app I had that was buggy, the phone is perfect never had any trouble with it.
I don't like the operating system on android it doesn't flow the way the iphone does, the Samsungs are very flimsy and not very well made, they give all sorts of problems when installing certain apps that can actually crash the whole phone beyond repair.
I fix iphones and Samsungs, the main problem people have is they drop their phone and cracks the screen, now I can buy an iphone screen replacement for $30 compared to $130 for a Samsung screen replacement.
Apple software and hardware has always been more stable and built to last and 9 times out of 10 they never release updates until they are virtually bug free.
Each Brand has its own value.
It all depends what u r looking n Need.
For cheap price with great features Android is Best.
For high price with good Features, I phone is Best.
I am using andtoid from 2yrs. still no problem with great apps, low cost, friendly user interface.
So.. my vote for ANDROID.
SGS3
Any unique applications... ALL S- APPS
Internet connectivity...4G LTE
Speed...AWESOME
Value for money...10 out of 10
Reliability...Most reliable in android world
wtf...
Android has double votes so far !!!
Let's wait for more guys...
You can't compare android with ios. They are completely different. One is closed source os and the other is open source. I prefer of course Android. You can modify more things and has more possibilities. See the votes too :flute:
I prefer Android
Android, no doubt..
Many quality AND free apps, easy root control, endless development opportunities..
ios is more stabile than android...
iPhone for sure :)
i prefer android is very easy
Iphone and Android are a tie.... They are basically the same thing... lol
I vote for Android, working fine all the time on my mobile ;)
I vote for iphone, working ;)
I agree with djk, they are separate entities completely.
I used to be an Applehead, but am now an Androidude!
I first joined the realm of Apple with the iPod Nano 4th gen in early 2009 (just before the 5th gen came out...I was livid when it did as it had a video recorder)
My very first non-flip/"smartphone" mobile phone was the Samsung Eternity - it was great at the time while it lasted but both mine and my mothers' phones took a crap on us and Samsung Replaced them free of charge for the Samsung Impression - a nice upgrade if I might add. This phone crapped out on me only due to the sliding keyboard malfunctioning on me (I went through 2 of these phones before deciding to make a huge leap). My mother's crapped out shortly before we got the GS3s - she used an iPhone 3G which she loved at the time.
Next, I had the 3GS, which I loved. In less than 30 days, I had spent over 400 dollars on apps! Call me stupid, but I was making over $5,000/month at the time and could definitely afford to splurge on apps for my first EVER smart phone. I later sold it just before the 4 came out and was upset as San Diego, Ca Stores were packed and Apple, in all, had over 600,000 Pre-orders for the 4 in the first 5 hours and thus, they sold out. :(
So I broke myself from the Apple (but kept the iPhone Data Plan as it was unlimited and I was grandfathered in) with my first ever Android experince - the HTC Aria (Intruder) which I loved at first. My brother gave me the phone as he had claimed it on insurance and they told him to keep it. I accidentally dropped it from my third story window while I was talking to my CU*T EX-WIFE (then, wife) and it cracked the screen and all. My first Android experience was a good one but I wasn't yet in love with it.
I followed suit shortly there after, with my very first Windows Phone, an HTC Tilt 2 when it came out - POS! I returned it the next day and gladly paid a $30 restocking fee. That phone was so horrible that I never gave Windows another chance again.
I then went the cheap route - AT&T GO phones at Walmart. For a deployment (9 months) and a few months on the beach (land), I kept the crappy phone and the iPhone Data Plan. I eventually ditched AT&T all together as they had crappy reception on base.
A friend had some Verizon phone and I loved how good his service was on base.
Long story short, In August 2012, just before I got out of the Navy, I picked out the Samsung Galaxy 3 and fell in love with Android!
I went from the 3GS to the GS3! :P
I bought one for myself and my mother as I have paid for her service (Both AT&T and Verizon) since February 2009. We both love our phones so much.
However, I am on my THIRD GS3 as they have all started acting up on me. Good thing is - Samsung recognizes that there are hardware issues with the GS3 and have replaced every one free of charge. My mother has also had her GS3 replaced once.
I have dropped my GS3s countless times without cases on them and have never had my screen bust
My girlfriend, whom I'm also paying for, has an iPhone 5 and has dropped it once and had to have it replaced through her Apple Care plan.
Both processes of getting new phones were extremely painless, only I didn't have to pay anything to get a new one.
My brother, Snakey777, has also had his fair share of Android (He is extremely biased). I can have him comment his opinions on this thread.
I love both Apple and Android as they both have their perks, I got rid of Apple as it was too closed and restricted for me and I couldn't be happier with Android.
As far as perks go, aside from one being closed and the other being open-sourced, I do not have time to get into detail as I would be here all day.
I would like to point out though, that Blackberry is still in the market and is actually, from what I hear, some stiff competition. My brother would mention this too, so I saved him some typing. ;)
:captain:
Android. Period.
just like srn said
I go for android
Depends what you need for, my personal phone is iphone, for work i got android.
Iphone more elegant and simple.

My preference is Windows
Iphone is better
Design is beautiful
Apps stable
Speed and quality of the screen, no comparison!!
I would say Android more freedom.
android cause it's open source
Android, because it is less lame than the rest
i prefer windowsphone, well it's cool that it had its own livetile on the home screen, you can also edit the size of the tile. Its one of a kind here ^^ better than any other phone i had before :)
android is the nr 1:thrasher:
It's funny, I will probably never get neither of them
Android
ios better because of better games and added functionality with jailbreak.
No wonder why android is the winner,
very easy to handle, open source, supported by a lot of manufactures,a lot of applications either free or cracked, easy&fast to root rather than ios
I will Vote for IOS
