Apple is believed to be working on a dual-camera system for the next-generation iPhone, and a new screenshot that has recently gotten leaked claims to reveal this new feature, alongside some other novelties.

Before anything, it’s important to know that the iPhone 7 is not expected to launch sooner than September this year, so we’re still some 6 months away from the moment this is going to happen, which means that nothing should be taken for granted at this point. There’s no evidence that this photo spotted by MacRumors is real, so it could very well be fake or just showing a prototype.
Getting back to the information that this picture actually discloses, the most striking change is the addition of a dual-camera system.
Dual-lens camera on the iPhone People close to the matter previously stated that Apple was indeed looking for a significant upgrade for the iPhone camera. However, it was believed that a dual-lens configuration would only be used on the biggest model (which, in the case of the iPhone 7, was predicted to be the iPhone Pro - a new model either replacing the Plus or joining it to offer more powerful capabilities).
Such a camera clearly contributes to major photo quality boosts, as it can help improve focus or offer optical zoom, a feature that’s only common on DSLR cameras.
The larger oval-shaped camera enclosure comes together with a small microphone and an LED flash, but there’s something more interesting at the bottom of the phone.
It appears that the iPhone 7 Pro could come with a Smart Connector. This is Apple’s new technology, currently used on the iPad Pro, which allows users to connect peripherals such as keyboards. If the next iPhone indeed works with keyboards, it’s very clear that Apple wants to give it a huge boost in the productivity business.
At the same time, a Smart Connector borrowed from the iPad Pro is also a sign that Apple might indeed be working on an iPhone Pro that would be focused on productivity, just like the tablet.
There are many scarce details at this point, and expect more leaks to take place in the coming months as we get closer to the rumored September launch.
