In my mind, there's two weeks out, and no explanation!

ok it works
need to do the following
Windows 8 and 10
Press the Windows key (previously Start menu).
Use the Search option and search for Notepad.
Right-click Notepad and select Run as administrator.
From Notepad, open the hosts file at: C:\Windows\System32\Drivers\etc\hosts
Add the line and save your changes.
add the ip and one space then the site name (only name with .) no https\\www.
Then try to copy-paste this to the hosts file: 104.25.94.117 retrowith.inQuote:

I do not understand. All that going outta the way to be unnoticed, and you can not access the site? The site was working last week with the host file add on. Now it looks completely offline. You can find everything there else where. And i know a lot of people might disagree with me and that is OK. If Some one wants to take down a site they can and will. Maybe they will be back up soon and i really hope they do, but i wont hold my breath.
I was a longtime member of retrowith.in and the site was working perfectly until the maintainer of the site was hospitalized and they were having DNS issues. Another member got into contact with me and told me how to resolve the DNS issue, by editing my /etc/hosts file. After I restarted my machine and my browser, the site was back to normal. But then, I receive an "Invalid SSL certificate" message, and this keep appearing since xmas. This means that no one can access the site now.
Which is a real shame, considering that RW was home to the best gaming collections that its users cooked up. One of these was "The Apogee Collection" which houses every game Apogee has ever done since 1986. The torrent description was colorful and detailed, it had collapsible tags, beautiful ASCII art, it looked amazing. It was even right up there with the company's software catalogs you used to read back in the day. Unfortunately, this is all lost now.
So, yeah, the site is dead.
Well I hope the guy is alright and doing well. That's more important than anything. In a certain circle someone was saying that they were working on bringing the site back but I just kept feeling like that was a bunch of BS, and there was never a mention of the maintainer being hospitalized. Had that been said I think people would've just left the whole topic alone. Thank you.
