Understanding PassKey
I'm new to private tracker. I want to know more details about PassKey embedded in Private tracker torrent file.
1. Can I share the torrent file (thereby passkey)?
I understand that by going so the download is counted in my account.
But will it cause any other problem.
1.1 Does that mean that upload counts as well?
2. What happens if there are multiple users (thereby passkey) in same IP? say same campus or public network.
3. What happens if someone shares .torrent file publicly?
4. What if 'A' shares 111.torrent file to 'B'. B is down/uploading 111.torrent. On top of that he is down/uploading 222.torrent.
[That's two passkey in same Computer]
What happens then?
5. In it possible to change my passkey?
This may be the case when I feel my Passkey is compromised.

1 Never ever share passkey. Whetever stuff got downloaed on your passkey, it will show up on your account.your passkey is your personal identification. Never share it.
1.1 of course they count both upload and download with that
2.every tracker have different rules for that. Generally they dont allow multiple account on one IP. You have to ask the staff on tracker.
3.Again, don't do that. Generally one torrent can't be downloaded on more than one or two ips. There is a reason they are called private trackers.
4. You don't have two passkey on same account. You passkey stay the same. So you can download 2 or 4 or as many torrents on same IP as you want.
5. Yes. Go to your profile on your tracker .
Again, don't share your passkey or torrent files with anyone. It's gonna harm your ratio and other stuff too.

If you look at the announce URL in your torrent client you will see a long string of 'random' characters as part of the URL. That is called a passkey and each is unique per account. You can reset your passkey on most trackers, some do require staff to do it for you.
The trackers require a passkey, without one the tracker will not allow you to connect (therefore you can not download). With several IPs using the same passkey the account will typically be auto-banned or whatever the site setup their tracker to do

1,2,3 and 4 will get you disabled in 99% of private trackers.
5, yes you can change your passkey

A passkey uniquely identifies an account. There can be more user accounts with the same IP, but they all have different, unique passkeys.
