Iptorrent ratio whine.

Hey, everyone says they love IPT, and it's easy to maintain ratio etc, i've just had it for half a day, but by the looks of it, i wont have it
many more...

Easy getting ratio? How? I downloaded 5 new movies, quite high leechinglists, my highest has in 4hrs gotten to 0.6, and the lowest 0.002, they also have this hit-n-run-stuff that makes you seed it till it's 1:1, which for the 0.002 i figure will take years (Maybe im a bit fast to whine, gotta give it a day or 2)
And with the hit-n-run, i downloaded 300Mb of a movie, and then changed my mind and took another version, so i deleted it from utorrent and my computer, now i got a warning for hitnrun on it, do i really have to download everything that i click on to fully, and then seed it 1:1? So now i have to download those 13Gb just to seed it for some days? Seems crazy..

I loved FTN in that sense, everything i downloaded i left till i had 1:1 or 72hrs has passed, in ipt, you're left no choice but to seed even if it takes 50yrs...(?)
And that makes it almost impossible if you have missed a movie or show and download it a week/month/year later.. Like if i want to download a movie from 2011 that i found on imdb, it has 50+seeds, but i will never ever get 1:1 on it, and get a warning..

As i said, this may be premature whine, but is this really how it works?

You're better off with torrentshack.net: ratioless, great pre times, good speeds

IPT is better in content wise only. with latest rules (ratio, seeding, hit n run) downloading from IPT is like a HELL.

I only preffered IPT for Old and Rare Content. for latest content i am downloading from torrentshack, chd, torrentleech, freshon, fano etc..

If you are really getting problems for seeding at IPT, I think bonus points is the best way for you. Assuming that you dont have seedbox and your upload speed is very low do this.
1. Download small sized 10 torrents and keep them seeding. You can sort out torrents as per their size. download lowest sized torrents. (around 10KB)
2. After seeding it for sufficient amount of time, you will get 1000 points which you can exchange for 10 GB.

This will be very useful to get started. Or you can do one more thing. download anything you want and keep seeding it. after reaching upto 50 points you can zap that torrent and so HNR will be removed.

Best thing would be as mentioned earlier, go for torrentshack. It is ratioless general tracker. you can get invite easily. Another option would be Torrentday. this tracker is also great and they dont have strict HNR policy.

Well, i got really good speeds.. That's not the issure.

I guess i'll look for torrentshack and try that out!

Seeding at IPT is easy mate.You need 50 points to remove a hit and run, that's 48 hours total seeding time per torrent.Is not easy, it's very easy.

Hi. I understand your frustration. Without any intention of criticizing , you said

In my opinion this was not the greatest move and is unfortunately put you in a bit of a hole. That is alot to dl out of the gate on a new tracker. Especially if your unfamiliar with the speeds, leechers, etc. You usually get a feel for that as time goes by of coarse. Unfortunately because it seems like there were many leechers when you dl, that was alot of mb or gb you needed to seed right off the bat. Maybe it would have been a good idea to seed files you already have completed elsewhere( cross seeding) that are still popular before you even dl so that you are ahead of the game. Even if just a few, to have some room to dl what you really want, or what you feel will seed well.

I myself just joined and have been very selective and carefull. Especially in the first few days, which set the tone for my ratio. Anyway, good luck, and hope you find that it gets easier cause from what I have seen its a great site. Take Care and Goodluck!

Yea, as i said, it could be a bit premature, and yea. I could've built it more careful, however, i really hated their hit-n-run-system, even if it's quite easy to zap them after some days. And as i also said, i've found my match in shack. I always try to seed more than i'm leeching, and always seed for atleast 3days, but on shack i dont get killed if i for whatever reason cant fulfill any of those. :) If IPT works for you and you like it, that's great, just wasn't for me. :) And i've gotten mail's from other ppl with the same feelings as me, wondering where they should go instead.. So it's not just me atleast :P

1:1 Ratio or 50 points to remove...

i have really bad bandwidth (like 8 mbps dl and 100 kbps ul). but what i did first joined -got my invite here at the very first day. i love you guys-. i refreshed page like a maniac. waited for a tv show -bitches love tv shows. and downloaded that rapidly and left it to seed. after that got one of the newly added freeleech torrents -porn is better always- downloaded and left it to seed too. while downloading, it was uploading as well. i did that again and slowly i'm gaining ratio and bonus points. you can try cross seed as well or maybe donating.

but speaking about low bandwiths, -coughes-, i really want to be a part of torrentshack too=)

Nice to see you have figured out how to seed/keep a good ratio despite a low UL speed ;)
Freeleech torrents are always the way to go on IPT. THATS what makes keeping a good ratio easy: there are a shit ton of freeleech torrents to seed

yeah, that's why it's a better option for me -besides TD or TSH. easy to keep good ratio and get bonuses at a nice tracker, what could you ask more=)

IPT is very easy to maintain ratio as anything over 8 GB can be freeleech if requested buy the uploaded so hit lots of them also the H&R system is annoying as you either have to get to 1.1 or seed for 400 hours

I've been on IPT for only a few days and already have nearly a TB upload. It's really not that hard. All I did was set up autodl-irssi on my seedbox and set it to download everything freeleech. Since my seedbox is so fast, I always get a ton of upload from it while the other autodlers download their copies.
