DB9: You need to have atleast 15 Gb uploaded. You also need some amount of forum posts in the month you want to receive the invite. The number of forum posts is undeclared and is known only to staff.
Note: Upload is counted totally. Whereas Forum posts are counted monthly. So if you have 15GB uploaded and have enough forum posts this month you'll get an invite this month.

The occult invite system:
- 1 invite given when promoted to neophyte/power user
- At ANY user level, if you have downloaded more than 10 GB, and have a ratio of 1.05 or higher, you will get 2 invites the first time you achieve this, and 2 more every 20 days (unless invites are closed, of course)

TranceTraffic - when you donate, they normally add some invites as a way to say thanks. OK but not when you do the 10$ subscription method then you get 1 every 2 months first one 2 months in.
Update regarding BTN coming into effect September 21st.
When invites are closed, there will only be three ways to be invited to BTN-
1. To be sent an invite by a Master+
2. To gain membership from an OFFICIAL recruitment thread on other respected trackers, to be coordinated by our Recruitment Manager.
3. To sit an interview in our IRC invite channel which will be opened occasionally.

- Fuxor - Invites are only gifted to the "KingPin / Porn Lover" class and above periodically. Occasionally staff will gift invites to the "User", "Member" and "Power User" classes, although they are normally removed soon after, if not used. Invites can and more often than not, are removed from all classes except donors. Donor invites are only removed upon inviting bad users or breaking our sites rules in regards to how they distribute their invites. For KingPin - Been here at least 16 weeks, has uploaded at least 100 torrents and 2TB. For Porn Lover - Been here at least 16 weeks, has posted 300 posts in the forums and uploaded 2TB.
- Ncore - Only Elite or higher rank users able to send invitations.To become Elite user , you must be a member for atleast 52 weeks, 1 TB Upload and must be in Top 30,000 rank
- Pretome - Trader class and up can purchase and use invites. To become Trader , you need to have 250GB and been a member for 1 month and 27 days

To request any invites you need to be a Power User, or to have been a Member for 8 weeks and have a decent (over 0.6) ratio, AND to have been active in downloading and then seeding back fully or for a long time, or in the Forums, or better still in uploading something to share.
Don't be disappointed if, even when meeting these criteria, you only get one invite at first - we like to check how invitee #1 does before issuing multiples.

They give bonus invites from time to time to power users and above that are available for a limited time that they decide. Also, you get one invite when you promote to Extreme user, 2 invites for Nexus Master. Another possibility is purchasing them with bonus points, 1 invite = 100000 BP.Quote:

You receive invites when you donate to the site, on special occaisons the system may give you bonus invites but this is quite rare.
Invites are periodically removed from non-VIP members, so it is best to use them sooner rather than later.
You must be a power user or above to use your invites and have a ratio of 1.0 or better.
There are no invites for Bonus Points
And given to VIP'S only and very very rare to Power Users
So invites are rare now

There are not official rules (like those mentioned ...Registered > 8Weeks , Upload > 100Gb , Ratio > 1.15)
May be there were in the past, but I do not remember.
Now, any user can request invites at certain thread at the forum. And the only rule needed is that the user has to be active in a lot of ways.
A Power user rank indicates some action only. Many power users with very good ratio and even some TB upload are rejected invites, because they are not active enough.
Active means, besides ratio : Torrent comments, forum posts, upload movies and not hit and runs.

2 invites can be exchanged indeed for 2000 bonus points but we have to know that ..... Only VIP and above can send invites !!
Meaning that many users have a lot of invites, but they can't send them as they are not VIP. And VIP means to donate only.

Silver Rank do not get invites. Only when the are promoted to the next rank, Gold, they get one.
The whole invite process is the folowing:
Gold users : 1 invite (100Gb , Ratio >1.5 , Register >90 days)
Jade users : 2 invites (250Gb , Ratio >2 , Register >150 days)
Coral users : 2 invites (500Gb , Ratio >2.25 , Register >180 days)
Topaz users : 2 invites (1TB , Ratio >2.5 , Register >210 days)
Emerald users : 3 invites (3TB , Ratio >3 , Register >250 days)
Ruby users : 3 invites (5TB , Ratio >3 , Register >300 days)
Diamond users : 5 invites (10TB , Ratio >3 , Register >360 days)
Note that invites are not added (so f.e. diamond users do not have 1+2+2+2+3+3+5. They only get 5! )
Besides, other ranks that can't be reached by users and only appointed by staff :

Trusted+ : 3 invites

VIP : 3 invites
