thanks for that tip. I'm just wondering if TL is such a smart idea to get into, if you have to resort to tricks from outside the tracker to gain a decent ratio and build an account. I should be able to do that by using the system itself responsibly. To me this is a pretty perverted way of using the bt-protocol.
@RoeiM (original poster): could it be related to the tracker being down? They seem to have some uptime issues in the past few days.
When starting on TL you need to slightly buffer your account via cross seeding first then download something very small this way you will have a ratio that will remove your wait times then you can start seeding/downloading normally. its highly recommended to jump on new torrents as soon as they are uploaded and you must be really fast in doing that since others use RSS in combination with very fast seedboxes they almost instantly grab the files and its harder to seed back if you jump on late.
You won't need to cross seed after you get out of waiting times, you can do it if you like but it won't be really necessary, I think TL in general shouldn't be joined by anyone without a seedbox, just use many of the other easier to seed general trackers or unless you have a very fast fiber home connection I guess.
