It's been another busy month over here at Pulsed Media! Many new great things happening :)
We've been putting more emphasis on high end dell enterprise servers, and next week we'll be receiving a batch of 39 dual opteron nodes. We've been very happy with how they are performing, they are stable, easy to work on and overally nice.
We've tailored new high end 1Gbps services, launched a rewards program and are now officially "auctioning" our capacity. Keep on reading for more information on all of this!
Seedbox storage rewards program
We just started a rewards program for seedboxes! You now get BONUS storage space over time! Yes that is right!
You can now get A LOT of free storage, simply because you've been with us for a long time!
The ratios has now been set for:
0.5% for each month your service has been active for
0.05% for each month you've been a customer with us
0.005% for each euro/usd/aud you have paid to us
These will be doubled in % by early 2015 too:
1% for each month your service has been active
0.1% for each month you've been a customer with us
0.01% for each euro/usd/aud you have paid to us
The last 2 applies to all of your seedbox services and not just one! So if you have multiple seedboxes, the last 2 applies to all of them.
Maximum you can get is 150% extra! That means you get 2.5 times the storage you signed up for! :)
The numbers may change in future but for now we are set on these figures. Further there are some limitations, less than 2Gb increase will not be applied, if the server doesn't currently have enough calculated free disk space and sufficient buffer the extra will not be applied. If you have refunds they lower the amount of extra storage by 0.01%, or double of what paid to us adds. We want to make sure that all nodes have sufficient disk space for this, but it will smooth out overtime with natural change in users etc.
Also this is applied slowly over time as we add more resources to the system, and not immediately to everyone.

Auctioning free slots
We've been for past few months experimenting with the idea of basicly auctioning the vacant resources we have available.
So if we have A LOT of free slots the price goes down and vice-versa, this way we can get the available extra resources quicker into use, while almost always having some free slots available. It's been a bit more rollercoaster as of late than we expected to, but pricing should stabilize within 2.5€ on most services very soon.
What does this mean? Since we have right now LOTS of free slots you can have Value Starter for as low as 4.99€ per month (annual signup) or Super100 740Gb seedbox for as low as 8.99€ (2 year signup)!! Yes, those are shockingly low prices! Activated instantly too!
So act swiftly because in a week the pricing could be 6.99€ and 10.99€ again!
