Online.net Bandwidth Warnings???
I've been using Online.net for 12 months.Tried the LT,MD, and Pro Dedis. Sometimes 2 per month. I actually recommended them to many friends as the best Dedi I ever used. And Many friends took my advice and ordered and had the same results, Great speeds, No Downtime, no Complaints whatsoever. Boom Dec 20th I get The BW email from them, Currently running a MD Box. They said I went over 751 Times my limit. I imediately said I've been with online as a customer for 12 Solid months and have been running my server exactly the same way and now I'm using to Much BW? (Nice Xmas Present from Online). Only solution from them is to Spend 80 Euro or my BW will be cut in 24hrs. My email back had 3 words, 'Cancel This Server".
2-3 Months ago Online started to add new Dedi's and started the Setup Fee deal. Anyone that has been with Online for a while will have noticed that ALL LT, MD, and Pro Boxes were sold out by the 1st week of the month. Once the setup fees started all Dedis with setup fees Stood at a Standstill! 42 Boxes for each, they Did not sell Not one for 2 months. I looked many times daily. Only servers that sold out were the ones with no Setup fees. So What does Online do? They add Old Lt 2013 Servers to be sold with No Setup fee and No One is buying them. Trust me since Online added setup fees they have taken a Beating in Business, and they know it. After 3 months of no one purchasing servers they add these 1.99, 5.99 boxes. The Pro Boxes sell out instantly because of No Setup fees. That's there Game to get you to spend more per month. The Lt 200MB Guarantee, Md 300MB, Pro 400MB is Bullshit. I used all boxes and got the same Exact UL Dl speeds. I had a LT and a Pro with Exactly Same torrent running and Same Speeds up and down for both. Tried it 50 times with same results. So that Guranteed BW Crap is balony. All 3 Servers perform the same, and I mean Exactly the same as far as seedbox.
I'll bet in the last 3 months that there sales have dropped 50% because of the setup fees. And I'll also bet at least 80% of there sales are for Seedbox users. They shot themselves in the foot 3 months ago when they started all this crap and now it seems they are fighting back with this BW Warning. How Dumb is that? They lost a ton of cutomers and now there reasoning is lets piss off the ones we have. I don't get it? A Customer that has purchased 20 servers in a yr they just don't care if they leave? At least warn the customer in a Non Rude way (Not Threathen Them). All they want is more money, I know they lost a lot business and now they will lose more. This customer is hitting the bricks. How slick is there cancel by the 20th deal too? I wonder how many peeps they grabbed on that deal, they screwed me once on it. Alot of users don't know that Scheme till they go to cancel. Then they are Forced to keep the server for another month. I Never seen another Provider do that? You can cancel last day of month and your done. And if you are going charge Setup fees, Do it for All Servers, not just the cheaper ones. Doesn't it seem Obvious they just want you to purchase a ProBox or better with no Setup fees? It does to me! Here's another scam too. Try to cancel your server from your My Acct Services page before the 20th of the month and you get a error. it wont let you cancel. You have to msg tech support to cancel and then you get there Stupid response back in Broken French like, is everything OK, how can we do better, is there a problem? I'll bet again they have that cancel Req page disabled until after the 20th of the month so they can scam someone into another month. Go to page after the 20th and cancel and Bamm cancel works. What a Crock Online. You had a good thing going! Mostly EVER server in every catagory was sold out in the 1st 5 days of the month, Look at your Server page now! Thats what happens when you Get Greedy! Wasn't it more profitable the Old way instead of all this let's change this and that and make more money? It doesn't take a Rocket Sceintist to see on your Available server page to see that your Business has dropped! And to finish here are a couple Post from your forum. No Limitations on Port Online? I'm Dying to know how many users recieved the BW Warning Email. My response from Online was everyone that went over there so called BW Limits Did. Well I already spoke to 2 Pro users that didn't receive the warning. What's the Deal Online? Another Scam to force the LT and MD users to go Pro? , because they cost more? The Pro users I know Use the Same BW in the same order I do and No BW Warning to them? I recommended many customers to you but Not No More!
