Rock
Lifelong metal guy here. The older I've gotten, the more I lean into prog rock and prog metal. Big fan of a lot of stuff on Inside Out, big fan of Transatlantic and anything Neal Morse and Mike Portnoy have been involved with, despite the super religious dander the former prefers to put out. 10+ minute long songs with a lot of instrumentation, reprisals, etc. I like feeling like I'm in a story, and love wet production.
Otherwise, listening to a lot of the blackgaze stuff like Alcest and Deafheaven is refreshing too.
I like lots of genres of music, but i listen mostly to pop and rock(especially music of the 60's 70's 80's)
Rock/ slow metal. I like to follow the beat in music, and when the music is too fast that I can't tap my fingers along with the beat fast enough, I'm probably not going to enjoy it too much as I simply cannot get into it. I don't like to just listen to the music, I like to concentrate on it, and vibe along.
House and trance
Techno, Trap, House ..
