Performing at the Pandora Live concert in Brooklyn, Halsey dedicated her global hit “Without Me” to her friend and collaborator Juice WRLD (real name Jarad Higgens), who died Sunday (Dec. 8) aged 21.

Juice featured on the remix of “Without Me,” which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 earlier this year. “Life is short, we should appreciate every single moment that we have together,” Halsey told the audience at Avant Gardner.

Earlier this week, Halsey remembered Juice with a photo and reflection posted to social media. “Sweet boy. The fastest brain in the game. Your creativity, endless. Immortal. Rest in power. I can’t even explain the sadness,” reads her message, capturing a photo of the pair enjoying a light moment.

Juice WRLD died at a local hospital on Sunday morning after suffering a seizure at Chicago's Midway Airport. A subsequent autopsy to determine the cause of the Chicago rapper's death was inconclusive, according to reports.
