Queries Regarding Seedbox

I have some queries regarding seedbox. I dont know this is the correct sectio,if not move it correct one.

Seedbox is remote machine where OS can be windows or linux that we will need buy from some seedbox suppliers where we can download/upload with fastest speed.

My internet plan is of 10mbps which cost 1000 INR per month. We have FUP(File Usage Policy) in our country so, speed will be degreaded after 30GB usage.

Here are my queries:

Q1:Do I get the More than 10Mbps speed at Seedbox as I have only 10Mbps plan?

Q2:As I heard in forums,I need to transfer data from Seedbox to PC is FTP client does it comes under my internet usage. If it comes there is no seedbox for me,it is double downloading same file.

Q3:Does Seedbox come only in remote? Do we have any WebUI seedbox?

Q4: For uploading or seeding torrents do we need transfer the data to seed box using FTP Client?


Need reply from guys who already used Seedbox.

1000 INR is like 18$ right? That is very expensive for just 10Mbit, I have 100 Mbit (shared, but still has great speeds), for 10$, and no traffic limitation.
If the 10Mbit seedbox is dedicated, and it is not shared between the users than you would be able download and upload with max speed all the time, which is around 1-1.5 Mbyte/sec.
You should check your provider, what does it offer for downloading files from the seedbox, because some providers offer only ftp, but there are seedbox services where you can download directly from webUI, also they should state if they offer WebUI or not in the FAQ (most providers do).
If you want to upload something to a tracker than you should have that file on your seedbox, either you upload it there from your home PC or just download it from X site and than upload it to another one, or just cross-seed it.

I think he means that 10mbit is his home connection not his seedbox. Seedbox has a higher connection and he wonders if his homeconnection will affect his seedbox speed or if anything he gets from his seedbox to his computer will add to his monthly quota. And 1000 INR is 20$ not 18 as per the current exchange rates.

You will get more speed in your seedbox than 10mbit. Home connection won't affect the seedbox speed. Seedbox is a remote computer, it works using its own resources not your home computer's.

Your seedbox is running 24x7 and it most probably gives better peering than what you get in India. Better peering means if there are 3 peers (2seeds, 1 leech) and the 2 seeds have the same upload speed, the leech will download more data from the peer with whom he has a better peering, that is the connection is established easier because of factors like distance, route, etc. Whatever you download to your seedbox, you can then download that from your seedbox to your PC and it will come under your internet usage. I couldn't clearly understand what this means "If it comes there is no seedbox for me,it is double downloading same file."

'Remote' means far apart from you. Most seedbox will be remote. They just systems far away from you that run 24 hours a day running a torrent client. There are various ways of controlling a remote computer. Some torrent clients have a webgui which you can open through your browser. If the client you have has it, then you can control the torrent client (of the seedbox) through your browser.

Seedbox is just a remote computer. Whatever data you download to it can then be transferred to your local system.

btw are you on 10mbit fibre or 10mbit dsl? What is your upload speed and when you are fupped, does you upload speed also go down?
