I've been looking over Pulsed Media because they have some inexpensive plans (I'm not an incredibly heavy user) and am looking to build some ratio at some sites. I have read that sometimes their help or customer service isn't the best. What are your thoughts or experiences? Do you have any other recommendations for something of similar quality?
I need maximum 500 gb and would like to spend around $5-10 a month.
I decided to give them a shot and I will post back my experience later on.
Hi NevilleNem, I'm in the same boat as you. Not the heaviest user and looking for the 5-10 bucks a month range. I guess you'd have about a month of experience with them already. Would you recommend a one month "tryout" with them?
Pulsedmedia is the second best seedbox company out there.... Customer service, reliability, speeds and price... Theyve earned it.
Pulsedmedia has the best seedboxes in my opinion.
I came from using Feralhosting which Trenx above prob is hinting to as being the best. well its not.. The download speed you get using FTP to get your files to your computer sucks big time. Other than that speeds on "the box" are good.
I'd say go with pulsedmedia and you wont be looking back..

Dude you need to research before talking nonsense and pardon me for saying so. Sadly a LOT of ISPS are well knowledgeable of Feral and they limit their connection to them.. Its called routing. Thats why feral offers a re-routing option that helps inmensly when you having issues. Try yourself doing a traceroute and you are probably hitting a bunch of points thus limiting your speed. how can you call 20mbps ftp transfer slow. Im willing to bet you isp speeds sucks or your are caught on the isp routing loop.
I say pulsedmedia is the 2nd best, and that offer you posted there is a BEGINNERS option. I would will 740gb in 5 minutes and 5tb of upload traffic would go away in less than 10 minutes. So again, educate yourself before refuting a claim. For a serious seeder or knowledgeable. everything LESS than 5tb HDD or 800gb SSD and UNLIMITED TRAFFIC is a NO NO.
Trenx, I was right about you showboating feral.. The option I posted would suit a beginner just right then. And as you see the two posters above are looking for just that. A small sized effective seedbox. Therefore pulsedmedia would be a perfect match for them. And I wouldnt bet my isp sucks if I were you. Im on 200mbps fiber up and down, so thats 10x your speed little man.. only thing that ever slowed me down was feral hosting as I stated before. Never had speed isues with pulsed media whatsoever.. Im intitled to my opinion and I say feral sucks, and so does your try hard post and negative attitude. Get out of your moms basement. Lighten up, it x-mas little man ;)
Guys keep it civil please. I could argue that seedboxes.cc beats both of them. But in the end it all comes down to personal preference. Youvboth made your arguments, now anyone interested can try both and decide ;)

This is an enormous achievement. Very good for you, but while I've been to this torrent world for a very long time and I know a lot of heavy uploaders, I don't know any other user on planet who can manage that.
I couldn't do that myself, actually. Even if I spend all day in front of my pc, I still couldn't do it. I would need a few people "torrent-working" for me to make this happen :p
Those "crappy" seedboxes.cc, in their cheapest option and with their most important factor, their top speed of 20Gbps, made me have a great ratio on many trackers, feeling comfortable and totally loose in this private trackers affair. I know I will never ever have to worry about ratio anywhere using common sense and this "cheap" seedbox, and spending the money that I can afford. I don't need more, extraordinary ratios or tremendous buffers that are practically impossible to take advantage of them. :laugh:

I can assure you though that the vast majority of users can't afford that.
And they don't have to, either. They can easily enjoy their hobby with 15 UDS or less.
And they are happy about that.

Sir dont take me wrong I am not bashing on you or others just pointing to the facts and as you may know facts dont lie. But I am not in the minority.. I cant name you real fast 20 ppl on my friends list ( public trackers ) that send an average of 70tb a month :s but besides that what I am saying is you will rarely hit the threshold of 20gbps uploading firstly because ot is shared not dedicated, secondly because it needs to be a torrent so so popular everyone wants it. so why pay 15USD for a 1tb HDD at 20GBPS which you will most likely NOT max out and LIMITED upload bandwith, when you can pay 14usd for 1tb 10gbps and UNLIMITED upload bandwith.. see the balance there :DQuote:

- Users love fast seedboxes (to maintain a good ratio as easy as possible), with many available plugins/tools, good support and stability. Most of users don't have the knowledge (and the time) to setup a dedicated server and deal with many possible problems they will have sooner or later. So they just buy a seedbox from a good company like seedboxes.cc (and many other good companies of course) and they do the job.
- I really believe that using a seedbox on public trackers is a waste of money. You can just buy a HUGE HDD for your home PC, a VPN ($50 or so per year) to hide your real IP and save A LOT of money. This way you also save time from the FTP transfer process (seedbox to desktop).
- Last but not least, i don't recommend public trackers anyway. They are way more risky than private trackers (even while you are using a VPN since nobody knows how safe the VPN companies are) and they are full of shit as well. Too many viruses on public trackers and of course most of public trackers are very bad organized compared to the private trackers.
Anyway... Everybody has a different point of view, so there is no need for fights guys :)
And I have to agree to disagree with you. People have the notion that public trackers are full of viruses and bla bla, slow and all that NONSENSE. Yes there are crappy public trackers but there are public trackers at par with private ones. Hell i can show you public trackers that have fresh out of the box games before any private tracker and where the private trackers get them from? well you guessed right. And that goes with apps, etc. Another false and nonsensical notion is the fact that people say public trackers are riskier than private. That can not be more far from the truth because its impossible. First of all hundreds of vpns that have on their UPS AND TOS that they dont provide to third parties your info, second seedboxes from france and netherlands to mention a few DO NOT HAVE LAUGHS punishing torrents so you are as safe as you can be downloading from your seedbox located in those countries, there are more more authorities in private trackers than in public ones, because some of them are 0day and thats wo they are after NOT the 2nd 3rd and 4th hand... Dont believe me ask me in skype and i will show you the TRUTH. Having shit set up in your home is a no no, unless you are a lonely guy in a couch just uploding and downloading torrents. Theres a family who uses the internet, play games, watch online shows etc etc, and all that factors when seeding stuff from home so that is a NO NO. Their is more risk in private trackers than in public trackers. Thats just things some people, like yourself, wont understand. I know because ive been there and ive done that. A seedbox that has a TOS, and a AUP that says it will not give personal details to third parties including government officials, authority, company rep etc CAN NOT DO SO, and if they do you WILL NOT get in trouble at all because it is a breach of contract, it is a LEGALLY FORMED company ( seedbox ) thus the CLIENT ( you ) are protected by the TOS and AUP put in place. Like i told you earlier, theres a lot of things people think they know and actually know nothing about. If a patient goes to a doctor and tells them they have been doing crack, if the doctor goes to the police, they CAN NOT ARREST the patience. Theres a code and law that bars medical personnel to disclose patient information with 3rd person and if done so the doctor is in trouble not the patient...
