Proxy for seedbox and public torrents

Hey guys,

I sometimes want to use public torrents on my seedbox but I want a second layer of security. I thought about proxy settings with ruTorrent. Do you know any free good proxy service for this case ? Will this be sufficient ? Speed doesn't mater, since I won't use this often.

Why do you want to use a seedbox for public torrents?

The seedbox is always online, I don't have to run my pc overnight. Sometimes I can only find my needed files on public trackers. Downloading with the seedbox would be more secure than with my own pc

You can use a VPN for those instead of paying a shitload of money to a seedbox.

You can just buy a VPN with 30-40 USD per year and download on your own PC with the VPN open. This way you will remain anonymous and will also save a lot of money!

Actually my seedbox is not very expensive. 5$ a month.

Yes that's what I do atm. Downloading with vpn from my pc. But it sometimes take up to 3 days to download and I don't want to keep my pc running so long. That's the reason I want to transfere this process to the seedbox. Can I configure the vpn on the seedbox aswell ?

Yes, seedboxes.cc comes with an option to install its own VPN.

If you’re using a VPN for general browsing use just check out the extensions store via whatever web browser you are using. They are free and most are pretty decent at covering your tracks plus your seedbox should have its own separate IP as they are hosted on remote servers.
