Windows 7 Ultimate (x64)
Windows 10, i tried linux for a while but without good video codec for my thinkpad (i was on debian) :/
Kubuntu 18.04 and I must say its amazing how much it has grown, the new Plasma is absolutely amazing. Every yearly release I am just shocked by how many new features are added. I cannot imagine using Windows as my primary desktop anymore.
I currently run Windows 8.1 (with classic shell, UEFI is just easier with 8.1) in KVM Qemu virtual machine using GPU passthrough whenever I am gaming, but if my machine was not powerful or new enough to do that I would absolutely be dual booting, or using more than one PC.
If you do most of your gaming on Windows, then a slower/older PC could easily be used for all your other purposes and use Linux on it.
Windows 10 Home 64 bits and Ubuntu.
Kali, and Debian for laptop.
Windows 10, I think it`s quite good.
For now Windows 7, might get Windows 10 when I get a good gaming computer since I am saving the cash for it.
win 10 on my actual laptop and win7 on my htpc/download box
As of today, I'm using Lubuntu 18.04 on my laptop and server, and I'm really happy with it, the start-up and shutdown times are really speedy and overall it's quite stable.
Previous to this I was using Linux Mint 18.3 and for the most part it was stable, but I couldn't update the kernel as when I tried it completely broke the graphics on my laptop, I remember it took me about a week to narrow down the issue to it being the kernel as I kept re-installing the OS until I found where the issue was, when I went to ask for help on how to file a bug report for it as I hasn't filed one before no one volunteered to help guide me, eventually LM 19 was released so I upgraded to that, crikey what an experience that was, for the week I was using it, it was so unstable, apps kept crashing, the system would lockup without warning causing me to loose work.
I got so fed-up I completely jumped ship to Lubuntu's new release and wow what a difference, apart from PCManFM crashing twice it's been very stable, when it crashed I was presented with a dialogue box asking me if I wanted to submit a bug report, which I did, and after a couple days or so an update came though and it's been stable since, overall I'm really happy with it.
@keeponsharing what's the difference with the regular Ubuntu version? I have noticed there a few more versions like Kubuntu and now Lubuntu :)
