How do you play HD-movies?

I use VLC and Plex.

VLC is the way!

I use K-Lite Codec pack + MadVR, a very good combo to me especially for H265 1080p movie.

VLC for life and preferably HEVC for best quality with the smallest file size

Plex + Chromecast

I use VLC media player for watching hd movies.

Kodi on Rasp Pi 3 on TV, but on desktop Media Player Classic

VLC and sometimes Libresonic (own streaming server)

I always use MPC-HC
