How do you play HD-movies?

I using MPC-HC + lav filter + madVR.

Vlc and kmplayer works fine

Daum PotPlayer + SVP
What are the advantages of using K-Lite or other codeces instead of the built-in codecs of the player?

i use BS.Player.Pro

VLC player with k-lite codec pack

I am using VLC and it's working fine so far. But i want to try some other options, so i will read carefully this thread.
