Battlefield 6 Insider Says The Game Will Be ‘What Fans Want’

Despite the most recent claims, Battlefield 6 is actually going to be what fans of the series want, according to an industry insider. The statement contradicts the latest round of leaked information courtesy of Anton Logvinov, video game journalist and insider.

At the beginning of November, EA revealed that Battlefield 6 would offer an unprecedented scale of warfare, which became possible thanks to the now-current generation of powerful consoles. The company’s CEO Andrew Wilson shared the exciting news that the game is receiving highly positive feedback during the current phase of internal testing. Battlefield 6 is heavily rumored to return to the modern era while the aforementioned scale will reportedly result in supporting up to 128 players in a single multiplayer match.

Quite recently, Russian industry insider Anton Logvinov shared a brief statement on Twitter claiming that Battlefield 6 is not what fans want, although it plays well. Judging by his subsequent commentaries, the insider hasn’t played the game himself while the information was probably coming from third parties participating in closed testing. Shortly after that, another industry insider, Tom Henderson, claimed the contrary stating that Battlefield 6 will actually be what fans of the series want. Interestingly, the source of Henderson’s confidence is pretty much the same as Logvinov’s concerns. According to those participating in internal testing, the game is receiving significantly more positive feedback than the previous titles. This reception makes Henderson believe that DICE is handling Battlefield 6 in a way that should satisfy fans.

DICE might have another Battlefield game in the works alongside Battlefield 6. According to a September rumor, a remake of Battlefield 3, one of the most popular installments in the series, could be in development. The source of the leak is the Stockholm studio itself. On Twitter, DICE posted a short clip from the game followed by a “What?” question, which could either indicate a Battlefield 3 remaster or subtly confirm the modern setting for Battlefield 6. Regardless, nothing else has been shared in regards to that since the initial September publication.

Controversial inside scoops are most likely based on feedback from several playtesters whose excitement over Battlefield 6 varies drastically from person to person. In other words, the tone of these leaks and claims depends on a personal attitude. Obviously, for a proper conclusion, the title needs to be revealed publicly, which will happen in spring 2021. Until then, there’s no reason to believe any of the reports - unless they are significantly solidified by specific credible information.

Battlefield 6 is coming next Holiday season.
