Patty Jenkins, director of Wonder Woman 3, and Lynda Carter dodged revealing anything about the upcoming DCEU film at DC FanDome. Shortly after the release of Wonder Woman 1984 on HBO Max, Warner Bros. announced that Gal Gadot would once again be returning as the Amazonian warrior who has taken the DCEU by storm. First appearing in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, Diana Prince quickly became one of the franchise's most popular characters. Her first solo feature solidified this position, becoming the most critically acclaimed DCEU movie yet after a string of misfires and earning over $800 million at the box office.

So far, little is known about Wonder Woman 3. Patty Jenkins, director of the first two films, will return to direct the sequel and Gadot is returning as Diana Prince. Warner Bros. has also committed Wonder Woman 3 to an exclusive theatrical release after putting 1984 on HBO Max and in theaters on the same day. Other than that, though, plot details remain slim and no release date has been set for the highly anticipated film.

Despite appearing at DC FanDome earlier today, Jenkins and Carter had nothing to reveal about the highly anticipated film even if they almost slipped up and revealed something anyway. The pair were discussing Wonder Woman's legacy when Carter began to express her excitement for Jenkins' next film. Just when Carter seemed to be about to reveal something, though, the actress held back. Jenkins did eventually hint that information would be forthcoming, but what it could be remains a mystery. It certainly seems as if Wonder Woman 3 is still a ways away - without a release date, title, or plot details, there is little to go on when it comes to the highly anticipated sequel. Still, it's clear Jenkins is hard at work on the film and, in the video, she seems to hint that some type of news may be coming soon. Whether that's a release date or not remains to be seen, but it's likely that it could be.

Right now, DC has a slew of movies announced both with and without release dates. Currently, the latest movie with a release date is Shazam! Fury of the Gods, which is dated for June 2023. That leaves a lot of time between the release of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and DC's next movie, so it seems likely that Wonder Woman 3 could come out sometime that year as part of the DCEU's exciting if unclear future plans.
