YouTuber Jomboy attempts to decipher what Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman said during the inaudible part of the Deadpool 3 video through lip-reading. Jackman debuted as the Canadian bruiser with adamantium claws, Logan a.k.a. Wolverine, in the first X-Men movie in 2000. He was the star of 20th Century Fox's superhero franchise for 17 years and nine films, before the R-rated Logan movie ended his run in 2017. However, it was recently announced that Jackman will return as Wolverine in Deadpool 3, which will also be R-rated and take place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Naturally, fans began to wonder how Jackman's return as Wolverine in Deadpool 3 will be possible, given the character died heroically during Logan's emotional ending. Therefore, following their announcement video, Reynolds and Jackman made another one addressing fans' questions about the potential canon issues. The Wade Wilson actor began the video by stating that Deadpool 3 will not touch the ending of Logan. As he begins to elaborate on what happens in Deadpool 3, Wham!'s "Wake Me Up Before You Go-Go" begins playing, drowning out Reynolds and Jackman's animated explanation. Their mouths, However, are not censored in any way.

Now, in the video embedded above, a lip-reader has seemingly revealed what Reynolds and Jackman said in the Deadpool 3 video. The YouTuber Jomboy Media put his lip-reading skills to use and attempted to decipher what the Deadpool and Wolverine actors actually said. And, as many probably expected, most of it was actually nonsense.

What Reynolds & Jackman Actually Revealed In The Deadpool 3 Video

The video was intended to be a funny gag, and the two actors were likely just riffing on the spot knowing what they said would be inaudible. Still, Reynolds and Jackman's roughhousing in the video likely isn't that much different from what audiences can expect from Deadpool and Wolverine's dynamic in the MCU, which isn't expected to be cordial. There will surely be a lot of fighting between the two Mutants and "huge f***ing explosions," as Jackman says. Though considering their mutual abilities of accelerated healing, Deadpool and Wolverine will be "fine" and "totally laughing about it," as Reynolds points out.

Another interesting comment in the video comes from Jackman, who asserts "We're in our prime." This is either referring to himself as a 53-year-old actor, who some might think is too old to play a superhero like Logan, or a suggestion that Wolverine won't be in the same deteriorating physical state in Deadpool 3 that he was previously in Logan. This would line up with Reynolds' earlier statement about the two movies being totally separate things. Only time will tell for sure as Deadpool 3 nears its September 2024 release date.
