Two Harvey Weinstein Police Investigations Sent to L.A. District Attorney

Two investigations into Harvey Weinstein on accusations of sexual assault have been filed with the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office and are "under review," spokesman Greg Risling on Tuesday told The Hollywood Reporter.

This marks the latest development in a scandal that has rocked Hollywood since Oct. 5, when harassment allegations were brought against the disgraced mogul in a New York Times exposé and dozens of women subsequently made claims against Weinstein.


Weinstein was fired by his own company and ostracized by the industry after more than 70 women accused him of sexual harassment and sexual assault. Weinstein, through his reps, has maintained his innocence.


Weinstein had police reports filed against him in Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, New York and London.


New York police said on Nov. 3 that the department had an "actual" case against Weinstein. Beverly Hills police stated on Oct. 31 that the department was investigating complaints it received against Weinstein and director James Toback.


Neither Los Angeles police nor London police have given any updates on their departments' investigations other than the initial confirmation of cases filed.
