Supernatural Academy Animated Series Coming to Peacock
Peacock is bringing viewers an exciting animated fantasy series titled Supernatural Academy. It was announced in 2019 that animation company, 41 Entertainment (Skylanders Academy), had acclaimed rights to the Jaymin Eve book series of the same name, with an initial Fall 2021 release date. Undoubtedly pushed because of the Covid-19 pandemic like most Hollywood films and television series were, there hasn’t been any other word on the project since, until now.
Peacock has officially ordered a Supernatural Academy animated series, as announced through Variety. The upcoming fantasy series will be premiering on Peacock, January 20, 2022 and focuses on twin sisters, Jessa and Mischa, who were marked at birth and raised in two separate worlds. While one was growing up in the Supernatural world, the other, who only recently found out that the Supernatural world exists, grew up in the human world, with the two reuniting at the Supernatural Academy. While neither is excited about this, the twin sisters must overcome their differences in an attempt to save themselves, and the world.
The upcoming Peacock series will star Larissa Dias, Gigi Saul Guerrero, Cardi Wong, Vincent Tong, Shannon Chan-Kent, Brian Drummond, Bethany Brown, Barbara Kottmeier, Alessandro Juliani, Diana Kaarina, Ali J. Eisner and Kathleen Barr. Dias will take on the role of Jessa, a popular shapeshifter at the Supernatural Academy, with Guerrero portraying Jessa’s human-raised twin sister, Mischa. Fans of both Young Adult Literature and animated fantasy series alike are sure to be captivated from the start with the problematic supernatural twin sisters at the heart of Supernatural Academy.
