Solar Opposites Season 2 Release Date Set For March On Hulu

Solar Opposites season 2 officially gets a March release date on Hulu. The first season of the animated comedy from the minds of Justin Roiland and Mike McMahan was released on the streaming service on May 8, so the gap between seasons is set to be less than a year. When the show was first revealed, it came with a two-season order, so it was a matter of when not if for the second season.

And now, it's almost here. In an explicit teaser released by Hulu on YouTube, the release date for the second season was revealed to be March 26, 2021. The season is expected to be the same duration of the first, eight episodes, with all of them released at the same time for instant binging.

Solar Opposites has the responsibility of carrying Hulu's adult animation ambitions on its shoulders. The only other adult animated show in the streaming service's original catalog is Crossing Swords, which was released just a month after Solar Opposites. Crossing Swords was renewed for a second season, but the release date has not yet been revealed.

Meanwhile, Solar Opposites has already been renewed for a third season, which will expand to 12 episodes. For season 2, the teaser promises more hijinks, showing the alien family taking off to depart Earth in their spaceship, only for it to crash (and set the neighbor's house on fire) seconds later. Fans will get to binge anew when Solar Opposites returns on March 26.
