Rings of Power Finale Trailer Promises Answers & Lots Of Action
Long-awaited answers and incredible fantasy action are teased in the trailer for The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power's season 1 finale. The series is based on the writings of Middle-Earth's earlier ages by J.R.R. Tolkien. The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power premiered on Prime Video on September 2, and season 2 is scheduled to begin filming in the coming weeks in Fall 2022.
Taking place long before Bilbo Baggins' (Martin Freeman) quest to the Misty Mountains and the Fellowship of the Ring united to take the One Ring into the heart of Mordor, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power introduced viewers to the Second Age of Middle-earth. While it seems that darkness has been defeated, the Dark Lord Sauron is slowly laying the groundwork for his rise to power, and such familiar characters as Galadriel (Morfydd Clark), Elrond (Robert Aramayo), and Isildur (Maxim Baldry) begin their own journeys that will lead to them becoming the legendary figures audiences will recognize. Season 1 has seen a mysterious stranger (Daniel Weyman) land in Middle-Earth, the fragile bonds between Elves and Dwarves, and the volcanic, devastating formation of Mordor across its first 7 episodes, and a new trailer for the season finale has promised an eventful final episode for the series debut season.

Biggest Questions Remaining For Rings Of Power Finale
While The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power gives the land of Mordor a shocking origin, the series still has a number of unanswered questions that have remained highly debated topics of discussion amongst audiences. One such question is the identity of Weyman's mysterious stranger that fell from the stars, whose communication through fireflies and magical abilities has led to speculation that he may be the Maiar who will become Gandalf. Despite hints, this theory has received much scrutiny, as this decision would see the story move his arrival from the Third Age to the Second Age. Other questions surround the true whereabouts of Sauron, as despite the Dark Lord having a greater role in season 2, and being the driving force behind many characters' stories, he has yet to make his physical debut in the show's narrative. With Sauron yet to appear on-screen, this has led many to speculate that he is actually under the guise of a character whom viewers are already familiar with, with Charles Vickers' Halbrand becoming many dedicated fans' prime suspect, due to him being an original character created for the Prime Video series.
