Luke Cage Takes On Bushmaster in Full Season 2 Trailer

Netflix releases the full Luke Cage season 2 trailer ahead of the show’s late June return date. While the Marvel Cinematic Universe recently saw the release of Avengers: Infinity War, Marvel TV is continuing to expand its side of the massive superhero franchise. So far this year, Netflix has already released Jessica Jones season 2, and is gearing up to launch a sophomore outing of Luke Cage next – with another of their Marvel shows set to get another season this year as well.

Last fans saw Luke Cage (Mike Colter), he was teaming up with the other superheroes of New York City in The Defenders. And, with the Hand seemingly defeated, he returns to Harlem to continue protecting his neighborhood. Season 2 also sees the return of fan favorite characters like Misty Knight (Simone Missick), Claire Temple (Rosario Dawson), Mariah Dillard (Alfre Woodard), and Shades Alvarez (Theo Rossi). However, there will be some new players in Harlem when season 2 picks up, and one of them makes a splash in the newest Luke Cage trailer.

Netflix unveiled the full trailer for Luke Cage season 2 today, introducing viewers to one of the new villains taking on the titular superhero this season: Bushmaster (Mustafa Shakir). Things don’t look good for Luke when Bushmaster takes him down singlehandedly, and it seems like that confrontation will haunt Luke throughout season 2.
