John Singleton's 'Snowfall,' 'Legion' Final Season Get Premiere Dates on FX

The comedy 'Baskets' will also join the two dramas in the cable network's summer lineup.


FX has locked in three more shows for summer runs, including the drama Snowfall, co-created and executive produced by the late John Singleton.


The series will open its third season on July 10. The cable network will also debut the third and final season of Legion on June 24 and season four of the comedy Baskets on June 13.


Singleton, 51, died Monday after suffering a stroke. The writer-director of Boyz N the Hood, Higher Learning and Poetic Justice created Snowfall with Eric Amadio and Dave Andron and directed episodes in each of the first two seasons.


"We are honored and fortunate to have worked with John on The People v. O.J. Simpson and the drama series Snowfall, which he co-created and on which he is an executive producer and director," FX chairman and CEO John Landgraf said following Singleton's passing. "I know that the cast and crew loved John as much as we did, and that they are heartbroken over this news. … We lost an incredibly talented artist, leader, activist, partner and friend — far too soon. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time."


Season three of Snowfall is set in the summer of 1984 as the crack cocaine epidemic spreads through South Central Los Angeles, involving law enforcement, dealers and users and the CIA.


Baskets opens its fourth season with Chip (Zach Galifianakis) deciding it's finally time to move out of his mother's (Louie Anderson) place, although he finds it harder than it seems.


The final season of Legion will feature Game of Thrones alum Harry Lloyd as David's (Dan Stevens) father, X-Men leader Charles Xavier, and Stephanie Corneliussen as David's mother, Gabrielle.


The three shows join the previously announced Archer: 1999 (airing on FXX starting May 29), The Weekly (June 2) and Pose (June 11) as part of FX Networks' summer slate.
