Gal Gadot to Voice Herself in Upcoming Episode of The Simpsons
Gal Gadot is going yellow as the Wonder Woman 2actress is set to voice herself in an upcoming episode of The Simpsons and she can’t wait. Gadot has become a household name after appearing in two major 2017 Warner Bros. releases, as Diana Prince in Justice Leagueand Wonder Woman – following her introducing to the superhero universe via Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice in 2016.
The superhero actress recently stretched her comedic wings as a first-time host for NBC’s Saturday Night Live. Unfortunately, Gadot’s hosting debut failed to dazzle critics. Now, she’ll return to the comedy realm for an upcoming guest starring stint on FOX’s animated comedy The Simpsons.
Gadot excitedly announced her guest spot on Twitter. The actress shared a video of herself affixing her autograph to the very top of Marge Simpson’s iconic tower of blue hair in a star-studded poster. The Wrap reported Gadot will appear in an episode titled “Bart’s Not Dead” when The Simpsons returns for season 30 this fall. Gadot joins the ranks of other high-profile guest voices such as Game of Thrones‘ Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who played a fantasy character similar to his GOT counterpart, Jaime Lannister, and Marvel’s Stan Lee, who also played himself in two different episodes.

Gadot graciously eased disappointed fans, saying her goal was never to seek awards, though she remained hopeful for the second film to be recognized.
With or without accolades and peer recognition, Gadot ended 2017 on a major high, becoming the highest paid actress in Hollywood with an approximate $1.473 billion box office gross between her two Warner Bros. films despite Justice League‘s less than stellar box office numbers.
Fans of The Simpsons had a lot to worry about recently as news of the merger of Disney and FOX threatened to finally put an end to the series after 29 years on the air. The series has suffered from disinterested critics and fans alike, as both ratings and critical acclaim for the series seem to be in a freefall. The series is contracted through season 30, but there’s no telling where it will be left standing after the merger dust settles. Ironically, The Simpsons predicted the possible harbinger of its own death 19 years ago. In the season 10 episode “When You Dish Upon a Star” an image is shown of the FOX Studios lot, which had become a division of the Disney company. Ron Howard, director of Solo: A Star Wars Story, cameos in the episode.
