Every Marvel Movie & TV Show Predicted For Comic-Con 2022
Marvel Studios will attend San Diego Comic-Con 2022, and there are several MCU movies and shows that could be announced or receive a first look during the event. After skipping the two virtual Comic-Cons, Marvel Studios will return how on Saturday, July 23, for the first time since 2019. In the years prior to their absence, the MCU created a tradition of doing big reveals not only on Hall H but also in other events like Dinsey's D23 and Brazil’s CCXP, which makes their SDCC return even more exciting.
Marvel’s last SDCC attendance could not have been bigger. On top of hosting panels for films that had already been revealed, Marvel Studios also announced an MCU Fantastic Four movie and a Blade reboot starring Mahershala Ali. Curiously, those two projects have yet to start filming, and they could both be back on Hall H with more updates during Comic-Con 2022.
With the Disney+ platform now being as important to the MCU as the theatrical releases, the number of MCU projects being developed all at once has never been higher. Still, it is important to consider that Marvel Studios will most likely attend D23, Disney’s own expo event, meaning that they could save some important announcements and first looks for September. I Am Groot
I Am Groot is set to premiere on August 10, and yet no trailer has so far been released. That makes it likely that Marvel’s SDCC panel will reveal the first look at the animated special. While I Am Groot might not be MCU canon, the animated series is produced by James Gunn and will feature Vin Diesel once again as the voice of Groot. Considering that I Am Groot premiers before D23, Comic-Con 2022 is Marvel’s last chance to promote I Am Groot at a big event.
She-Hulk
Given that She-Hulk is the next canon MCU show set to drop on Disney+, it is likely that it will get some attention at Comic-Con. A She-Hulk trailer has already been released, but Marvel could bring the cast to Hall H for the first time with an exclusive clip. She-Hulk premiers on August 17, also before D23, and the marketing for the premiere could start with an SDCC panel.
Werewolf By Night’s Halloween Special
While Werewolf by Night will likely not premiere until October, after D23, a first look could be revealed during San Diego Comic-Con. The MCU Halloween special was first reported in 2021, and there has not yet been an official announcement of it. Still, Gabriel Garcia Bernal is reportedly playing the main character, and composer Michael Giacchino confirmed that he would make his directorial debut with Werewolf By Night.
Guardians Of The Galaxy Holiday Special
The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special is expected to premiere at the end of 2022, but given that the production wrapped in April, there could be some sort of first look during San Diego Comic-Con. So far, it has not been announced which of the Guardians of the Galaxy will be featured in the special, nor the official release date. Those are things that Marvel could unveil during Comic-Con.
