‘The Bear’ Season 4 Trailer Looks for Calm Amid the Usual Chaos

After three seasons of sometimes unbearable intensity, The Bear may be looking to pump the brakes a little in its fourth installment — or at least, the characters are trying to.

In a newly released trailer for the Emmy-winning series, several characters seem to recognize that constant upheaval isn’t the best way to go about things: “I get it — chaos and turmoil,” Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) tells Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) in the trailer. “But it’s a problem when you’re letting it fuel you and fuel the food.”

Not helping, however, is the fact that Jimmy (Oliver Platt) has put a literal countdown clock on The Bear, telling the chefs that “when that clock shows zero, this restaurant needs to cease operations.” Watch the trailer below.

The FX-produced series is set to premiere June 25 on Hulu, dropping all 10 episodes at once (as it has in each of its prior seasons). The logline for the coming season reads, “Season four of The Bear finds Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto (White), Sydney Adamu (Edebiri) and Richard “Richie” Jerimovich (Ebon Moss-Bachrach) pushing forward, determined not only to survive, but also to take The Bear to the next level. With new challenges around every corner, the team must adapt, adjust and overcome. This season, the pursuit of excellence isn’t just about getting better — it’s about deciding what’s worth holding on to.”

Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colón-Zayas and Matty Matheson also star, with Oliver Platt and Molly Gordon reprising their recurring roles. Jamie Lee Curtis, a guest star in seasons two and three, also appears in the trailer.

The Bear creator Christopher Storer executive produces the series Josh Senior, Joanna Calo, Cooper Wehde, Tyson Bidner, Matheson, Hiro Murai and Rene Gube. Courtney Storer is co-exec producer and culinary producer.
