The Babysitter: Killer Queen Trailer - Cole Battles An Undead Satanic Cult
A trailer for The Babysitter: Killer Queen, a sequel to its 2017 horror-comedy The Babysitter, is now available online. McG (Terminator: Salvation) directed the original and is returning for the sequel. Also returning are Judah Lewis as young hero Cole Johnson and a handful of his babysitter Bee's cultish posse - King Bach, Robbie Amell, Bella Thorne, and Hana Mae Lee. The film premieres on Netflix in early September, so now the promotional campaign is revving up with a trailer.
Netflix officially unveiled the trailer, which gives viewers an idea of how Cole's story continues as he attempts to recover from trauma due to events in the first film, while also dealing with the trials and tribulations of being in high school. What makes things even more difficult for him this time around is the Satanic pack is back from the dead, which obviously makes them harder to kill. You can watch the trailer in the space below:
The trailer indicates that this sequel continues the same sort of cartoonish and violent mayhem that the first film delivered – this time with the supernatural element as a main focus. The film looks to have a self-aware attitude about its genre (with Bach's character making a playful reference to Jordan Peele horror movies) while amping up the gore-soaked twists and turns. It'll be interesting to see if Cole's luck finally runs out, or if he's able to survive again.
Babysitter: Killer Queen's synopsis reads: Two years after defeating a satanic cult led by his babysitter Bee, Cole continues to be haunted by the horrific events of that night. Everyone in his life thinks he has lost his mind since Bee and all of her friends disappeared, making Cole’s story hard to believe. He is still hopelessly smitten with his best friend and next door neighbor Melanie – the only one who believes his story – who convinces him to forget the past and come to a party thrown at a nearby lake. But when old enemies unexpectedly return, Cole will once again have to outsmart the forces of evil and survive the night.
