Anthony Mackie Takes on the Red Hulk in New ‘Captain America:Brave New World’ Trailer

Anthony Mackie, who plays Sam Wilson/Captain America, is taking on Harrison Ford‘s Red Hulk in the new trailer for Captain America: Brave New World.

The footage (below) was unveiled at the D23 Brazil fan event on Saturday, with Mackie and Danny Ramirez, who portrays Joaquin Torres/Falcon, presenting the trailer to the audience.

The film, directed by Julius Onah, sees Ford as U.S. President Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross, who wants to bring Captain America aboard in an official military position after being elected president. But before Wilson can make a decision, he works to uncover a nefarious global plot and takes on Ross when he transforms into the Red Hulk.

“Your inner circle’s been compromised. Let me fix it,” Mackie says in the trailer, as Ford replies, “Watch yourself. You’re not Steve Rogers.” Mackie says, “You’re right. I’m not.”

Brave New World also includes Ramirez as the new Falcon, Carl Lumbly as Isaiah Bradley, Shira Haas as the Israeli superhero Sabra, Giancarlo Esposito as Sidewinder, Liv Tyler as Betty Ross and Tim Blake Nelson as Samuel Sterns/The Leader.

Mackie was first seen as Sam Wilson in Captain America: The Winter Soldier, when he was introduced as the hero The Falcon, an ally of Chris Evans’ Captain America. He later appeared in several Avengers films and 2016’s Captain America: Civil War before leading the Disney+ series The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, which followed his journey to becoming Captain America.

Brave New World hits theaters on Feb. 14, 2025.
